Student Entrepreneurs: Join the STIC Challenge!

STIC is challenging Alberta's leaders of tomorrow, in making their visions a reality, and embracing the Alberta spirit that will continue to drive technological and innovative success into the future.

 

STIC is calling all of Southern Alberta's post-secondary student entrepreneurs to participate in a free Technology Business Development seminar series. At the conclusion of the STIC seminar series, students are invited to submit a technology-oriented business proposal to compete in the Student Technology Innovation Challenge business plan competition.  

Prize Package 2009/2010

Southern Alberta Regional Finals

    • 1st place $6,000 Cash +  In-kind Technology Commercialization Service Package
    • 2nd place $2,000 Cash
    • 3rd place $2,000 Cash

 

  

TEC VenturePrize Student Business Plan Competition

    • Grand Prize receives $6,000 in cash and in-kind services
    • Two Runners Up receive $2,000 each in cash and in-kind services

The STIC is partnered with TEC VenturePrize and the University of Alberta’s School of Business to offer the 2009/2010 TEC VenturePrize Student Business Plan Competition. The three finalists from the STIC program (southern Alberta) will face off against northern Alberta for an additional cash prize. Details of the Alberta final event to be announced in the future.

 

Students with non-technology related business ideas or non-students with innovative business cases are encouraged to register with our partner VenturePrize.
